Du Toit's Mobile Motors

I called du toit's mobile motors to troubleshoot why my car jerked when it pulled away at robots. The owner advised I needed a full engine overhaul. I trusted his judgement and I paid half upfront and committed to the balance when the vehicle was repaired. The work quoted was R38 000.00 When he returned the car the problem as described to him was still present. I told him as much and he said that it must be the gearbox, but I must still pay for the engine as I agreed to the overhaul We are now in court as I refused to pay for the engine repairs. I feel he misdiagnosed the problem so he should refund me or fix the problem as described to him. I see I am not the first person on this site for which he suggested an unnecessary overhaul.
