Process adverse listings without presentation of invoice

On 07/12/2015 I had surgery on my hand and DR P Withers from George was the anaethisist. Needless to say I have no memory of ever meeting him/her. I have a hospital plan so after paying a small amount to my doctor who sent me an invoice I moved on with my life.

On 15/11/2016 Du Plesies and Partners suprised me with an letter threatining to have me black listed. At the time I had no idea what they were on about and requested an invoice for the amount they claimed I owed. The amount of R1285 .33 was made up of the original invoice of R742.58 and the remaining balance was interest and penalties. I immedeatly settled the original amount of R742.58 and requested a signed invoice which to date has not yet been provided to me.

I explained to them that had an invoice been presented to me I would have settled the account upon presentation of such invoice. I tried to communicate with both Dr P Withers and Du Plessies Attorneys but the only reply I ever received (Other thatn an copy of the invoice after I requested it) were threats of blacklisting me.

Today 04/01/2017 I received an email saying that an adverse listing has been processed.

Please comment if you think it is unfair to process in adverse listing without proof of an invoice ever being presented to me.
