When controllers start slipping

Being called for the "missed closing signal" from blue is the only good thing in this review. What comes next is upsetting and leaves me very uneasy. A family member called me and my fiance to assist regarding what he should do regarding a closing signal that wasn't received at the blue international controlroom in Durban. US being in security without getting technical said, it is late (after curfew) he should ask if they could send a vehicle to site and with the help of the on/off led light outside(light is on when alarm is activated and is off if alarm is deactivated) see if the system was in fact armed or not and then call the keyholder(my family member) and inform him of the result of the patrol And when he called they"shut him down". Told him straight they won't send a vehicle, but they would arrange patrols for the night My fiance and I called blue hearing the news and asked them why this was their reply. Would it not make sense to send a vehicle to confirm "system armed" instead of setting up patrols for a system that could be in fact be armed. The controller that answered the call when we called stated that the patrol vehicle was very far away. Which was his only reason for not sending it. The fact that he would set up patrols meant they have response for the site in question So the fact that he stated the vehicle was far away sounded more like an excuse than a valid reason To make and already long story shorter and to bring it to a point. Their response is a outsourced company the response officer stated that he was sent for a patrol. No special request to check for on/off light. Once family member got to site, the alarm was armed and response officer was despatched to another alarm. He gave my our family member his number and stated is sap pulled him over for breaking curfew to call the response officer.

My family member had to risk being fined for breaking curfew because a controller didn't sent a vehicle to patrol and check if the on/off light was on indicating the system was armed. They are to protect property information and persons. 2 of those were put at risk in this attempt to complete the signal on his stack. This can't be how blue trains its people really.
