MOUNTIES DRIVE CAUSED ACCIDENT

I am working at a bank in Witbank and when the bank closed on the afternoon on the 17th I went to my vehicle to go home, when I got to my car which is parked under a car port DSV's driver Joshua parked on a yellow cross where he was not supposed to park (I just want to add, since the bank was already closed there was a lot of parking in the parking area), that cross is right behind my car. I asked him to move his bakkie as I need to get out. I have to fetch my children from day care so I can’t wait. He refused to move the bakkie but instead said he will guide my in getting out of the parking. I went on his word when he said to come backwards, he saw that I was about to hit the pole but did not stop me, when I hit the pole he still didn’t say anything. When I asked him why he didn’t tell me, he said he told me to straighten the wheels which he did not, he signalled me to come backwards.

In the first place he was not supposed to park there, he was not supposed to argue with me! I had to get out, and he refused.

I need my car fixed as this was not my fault, I also do have witnesses that saw everything happen.

I am unhappy in how this driver treated me, and Reginald (Josua's supervisor)did not come back to me. Being a supervisor it is unprofessional to say the least.

I phoned Reginald the next morning and he said he will come back to me, at 14:08 I phoned him again and he said he will phone me back at 14:30, he did not phone me back. This morning I tried calling him 9:33 and the phone just rang, I tried again at 10:42 and again he did not answer, I have sent him an SMS but he still haven’t responded.

It is not my problem if he is contracted out to this company, the fact of the matter is, at that point in time he was doing work for this company.

I also heard that he had an accident last week, which clearly sate that Joshua is incapable of driving.

I then phoned the Witbank Branch manager and he said i need to mail everything to him, he phoned me today to tell me i must submit a claim to my insurance, when i asked him who is going to pay my excess he said they will send a mail to the headoffice but that he doesnt think they will pay for the damages to my vehicle even thoug their driver caused everything. Very unprofesional to say the least. What it boils down to is that their drivers can cause accidents and noting will happen to them, thus they can drive as they are pleased.
