Horrible Service throughout!

Dear DSV / UTI or to whoever else cares…

I have had to explain myself numerous times over the past 3 weeks… But with no luck… I’m going to do so one last time, just to give myself peace of mind and to get this off my chest and my heart for once and for all!

With our first dealing with UTI we have had only joy and the best service EVER from Chantal Cordier and Maphale Mnguni (I’m not sure where he is now, BUT it’s a huge loss to UTI), we have always had prompt feedback and every tiny little request or question mattered to them! Always smiles all the way!

With our last consignment I made a phone call to UTI and I was put through to Arthur who also helped me promptly and professionally… I had to get a quote from 2 origins New Zealand and USA, he sent everything on to Babalwa Madlokazi (better known as BeeJ) and she has always been patient and friendly whenever I called her, even when it was time for her to go home… I bugged her a million time per day and I have never heard her being impatient whatsoever and nothing was EVER to much to ask! Well done Bee, keep up your amazing work! You are most definitely a huge asset to DSV!

After Bee had to hand over our consignment to Florah Moeng things took a turn for the worst! As I explained in my previous mails, I had the decision to chooses between UPS and UTI, as our supplier exclusively uses UPS… Even though their quote came in much cheaper we chose to stay loyal to UTI and accept their quote instead… (What a mistake, because UTI / DSV are NOT loyal to their clients!)

Firstly I have had to ask Florah several times to give me feedback on this consignment with no avail! In fact, I had to make a call on our way back from holiday only to find out that our stock was still stuck in the USA??? I haven’t given up on Florah and I still gave her a chance to prove herself and I asked nicely if she will just please include me in all the communication she sends out to whoever with regards to this consignment… Again, she didn’t come to the party… I had to make another call and send out a mail to all the contacts I have for UTI to get feedback of any form on our consignment… Chantal immediately assured me by forwarding my mail onto Arthur and apologising for the frustration I was caused… This blew out my fire again!

What I would have done if this was on my hands is to get the consignment into SA as soon as I possibly can at the company’s cost in order to keep the client happy, but this is obviously not important to UTI / DSV… Arthur have been in contact more frequent than Florah and I appreciate that! I just felt that there was NO effort made to get the stock into SA as soon as they possibly could…

Arthur handed my consignment issues over to Amogelang Moerane (Better known as Amo to me…J) and she has been a super star! She has phoned about ten times since this was handed over to her, she has had chats and talks and negotiations with Cherone (I think?) numerous times and has always given me feedback within a few minutes, if it wasn’t seconds! Amo, keep up your amazing work and the customer service you offer!

Amo sent me an invoice in order to make payment to organise delivery asap… I had to inform and ask Amo where the R4000.00 difference came in all of a sudden… I explained to her that we are a very young company and that we budget so extensive in order for us to purchase and import stock at the best possible rates… We simply do not have R4000.00 lying around… As I mentioned, Amo tried everything in the book in order to try and help, but she had no support anywhere? I had to make a loan in order to pay the extra R4000.00. After we made the payment I just had to check AGAIN for the 4th time if they actually added insurance as I have requested 3 times in writing before? It was actually no surprise at all that it wasn’t insured?!?! I am not sure who was responsible for this and I will most definitely never know was… At this point in time, my stock is traveling around without insurance! If I lose this stock I am *****ed for life! I will never be able to buy stock again! I also know that UTI / DSV will not take any responsibility about this issue, because they just don’t care about their clients and they don’t take responsibility for anything?! I don’t have extra money lying around like DSV does?

I wish to apologise for swearing while having a chat with Arthur, but I am at my wits end with DSV. I personally am a very hard nut to crack to get to a point where I swear and start being angry… As I mentioned earlier, I am a very loyal person, even at the cost of our company, I chose to stay with UTI, but they have only disappointed me…

We will definitely consider using UPS or whoever else our supplier recommends in the future except DSV…

I truly hope this is an eye opener and a learning curve for DSV and I trust this email will land in the right hands!

I wish I had more email addresses to send this mail to in order for this to land in the right hands, but I trust that one person in this email will take responsibility and have the integrity to send this on…
