Horrible service

I’m very infuriated by the disgusting service I came across with their driver on 19/09/2018as he came to deliver my parcel from Telkom yesterday. He refused to take my proof of residence except that it be in a form of a bank statement, saying that’s what they require as instructed by Telkom. I then asked him how is that so when 2 months ago I had a parcel delivered by them and produced the same proof of residence( a letter by post address to me) and all went okay. So I argued that if rules regarding proof of residence have changed that should have been communicated to me when we were arranging the delivery but none of this was mentioned. Also it raises eyebrows that they only require bank statements only as proof, what do they want to do with such sensitive information? The driver said Telkom gave them this instruction but I did call their sales department and they are surprised as I am. I then asked the driver to call the company so I can get understanding of all this and he refused and said he doesn’t call, he gets called , I offered to call with my phone and he said he doesn’t have the number for the company he works for, I said I do have it on the other phone which is in my office and asked to go take it so we can call of which he agreed, as I was meters away from the car to the office he drove off. What kind of service is this? Ooh and he also told me that if I say the proof of residence was taken by the previous driver then money of R200 was deducted from him and thus he cannot loose R200. Why should I go through all this as if I owe DSV something? I have a relationship with Telkom here not DSV? Their only job is to deliver the parcel to the rightful owner of which I am, had my ID to prove it. I payed for my phone and I can rica it to any Telkom branch and that has nothing to do with them as a courier company.they must Stick to your lane and don’t give us unnecessary stress. I called your office twice speaking to consultants, the other one told me I must hold on they are calling their supervisor, 15 minutes in the phone my call was dropped and another consultant told me the supervisor is in the meeting and thus cannot attend me.
