delayed package
It was quite a frustrating experience I had these past few days with DSV regarding the Delivery of my MTN package. According to DSV policy, the address given to the consultant is the address that the driver HAS to deliver to, hence why you need proof of address and so forth. Starting with the initial set date and time the driver was given the wrong number and because no one answered he left(understandable on his end) delivery was then set for the next day and of course radio silence from DSV- Please also note that I had to make alternative work arrangement to now accommodate an error I did not cause. I waited four days in the hope that I'd get a response or update but nothing.
Now it brings me to this Tuesday. I MADE the call to reschedule the delivery as DSV has now completely forgotten about my delivery and it was set for my workplace(i work out of town btw). I was told between the hours of 2 pm - 4 pm at 3.30 I made the call just to make sure the driver was on his way and no one could get a hold of him. Finally, at a few minutes past 4 I got a call from the driver saying his running late could I please meet him somewhere? at this point, I just wanted my phone and agreed, when I met him 30 minutes later I was now asked to charge the biometrics device in my car so long and follow him to the nearest store because he needed to get a charger??? beyond unprofessional, I remained calm and friendly as this is South Africa, and upsetting a strange man was the last thing I wanted to do. Eventually, I did get my phone and all was fine.
Just in the future please teach the DSV team to be considerate of their customer's time. I felt like I was working for DSV at some point because of the arrangements I had to come up with. And please re-think this address policy because if it really matters why did I receive my package in a random parking lot?
