Xtra view does not deliver dual view as advertised

My previous dual view pvr decoder allowed easy viewing of two different channels, since Multichoice/DSTV has discontinued the service I switched to an Explora and HD PVR with Xtraview only to get error E143-4 errors, now I'm told to separate the decoders to two different rooms so that I can watch two channels. I asked and was told that Xtraview will give me the same as Dual view. DSTV is not delivering as promised. I had to switch at great expense and now I'm told it doesn't work as they advertise
