Worst Service In The World
DSTV has a reputation for the worst service in the world and I am so happy that I finally cancelled my subscription and the money saved from that can be put to better use .

06 Jan 2026, 12:21What I forgot to mention is that I was a faithful customer of DSTV for many , many years , but when I cancelled my subscription , no one at DSTV bothered to phone me , not that I want them to phone , but it just shows how they view their faithful , loyal paying customers and this just proves my point how bad the service is . I reached the point where I was so tired of their consultants who are so rude and not helpful . They kept blaming me for the incorect billing yet they they could not prove anything to me . As fas as I am concerned , DSTV is in a mess , they cannot control and run their own service and they failed to handle my account and failed to bill me correctly . The repeats on DSTV is another story , let's not even go there . That's another whole topic for another day . People need to know that DSTV is ripping them off . There are so many cheaper and better services (apps) available. You cannot even find a decent movie on DSTV . Thank God for super channels like , Netflix , Prime Video and many others . Many of my family and friends will also be cancelling their subscriptions with DSTV .

06 Jan 2026, 12:50I was on Compact Plus but at the end of the month when I went to Checkers to pay , I was told that I must pay for the Premium package . Why must I pay for the higher package when I am on the lower package . This was happening every month. Like a loyal , faithful customer that I was , I paid the higher amount . When I phoned them to query it , I was told repeatedly that I am changing my package on the app , but and this a big but , no one at DSTV could prove this to me . Also why must I change my package when I want the lower package , besides I don't know how to even do this . Anyway what is interesting is that when I spoke to my family , friends and nieghbors , they mentioned to me that the same thing was happening to them as well , so we worked out that this is one way that DSTV is ripping their customers off , and I need to put this out there so people are aware of what goes on at DSTV . I feel so relieved that I have cancelled my subsciption and I feel that a heavy weight is off my shoulders . Thanks hellopeter for giving me the opportunity to air my views and to expose DSTV in this country . There plenty of alternate and much cheaper services out there and some of them are even free . Who needs DSTV I certainly don't and never will ..
