Worst possible place to sort anything out
Multichoice decided to add an old decoder which we haven't used in more than 2 years to our account (calling this the holiday decoder) and started billing us on a permanent basis for the premium package, so we now have to pay R699 a month for a decoder that has been disconnected for 2 years.
After getting no joy over the phone we went in to the Somerset West offices. Multichoice switched our holiday decoder off, so now we are on holiday without any TV. We explained the whole situation and was told that our account was in arrears with R1300. We explained that we were willing to pay the amount and then wait for the account to be credited. After waiting for about an hour for the agent to escalate the request, we were told that they can't switch on the holiday decoder if we don't make a payment. again we said that we were willing to pay, but was now told that we needed to pay R2100!!! So within an hour the amount increased from R1300 to R2100!!!! Needless to say we didn't pay a cent and just left, we still don't have tv!!! but we have to pay R699 a month for a service we don't have!!!!!
