Worst experience ever
We have been Multichoice customers for many years and I cannot even remember when we started with our subscription. We are currently on the DSTV premium package and have had numerous problems since we added a second explora with the extra view. With a monthly subscription of around R1000 one would like to think you pay for a decent experience, however, your support services is not giving any joy. Two nights ago our interactions were as follows. First call about 20 minutes with Norma, second call about 35 minutes with Princess and the last call was more than 50 minutes when the phone battery went flat and till now still no call back regarding the problem. Surely they should have record and statistic of how many calls as well as how long these calls take. Seeing that it is our money paying for the cell phone call and their lack of knowledge resulting in these lengthy frustrating interactions, should it not be for the account of DSTV. Calls around 2 hours depleting the battery as well as resulting in a huge bill with no satisfaction. I am sure that I am not the only customer experiencing this and would urge DSTV to reconsider your support function, since it is a paid for service and yet in addition to that your customers also sit with huge telephone expenses. It feels like DSTV is linked to cell phone service providers and the approach is to keep customers on line as long as possible. Eventually Norma dropped the call with my husband (not even bothered to call back) and the extra view in the third bedroom then had a E46 error (I think, since there were several errors from there onwards on both the secondary and extra view and I cannot remember exactly what error popped where). I then made the second call to Princess to try and resolve the extra view error which simply ended up moving from secondary to extra view the whole time. Not resolved and having to go to church, Princess committed to escalate the issue and promised that they will call us back before 9, still waiting for that call. My boy then ended up taking the last call and in the end the battery of the phone did not last and no call back. As you can see we changed callers in order to remain calm as the endless hours spent on a phone is testing and the challenge of not becoming extremely rude due to the frustration of non-satisfaction is not taken out on others. Seeing that all calls are recorded, I would suggest that they review these calls and evaluate if it is decent service provided on their side. We are not prepared to make another call which end up with no solution but we are certainly prepared to share this experience in the media in order to test if we are the only ones having such poor luck. Urgently awaiting your attention to this matter. Since then another call from the landline to request them to phone back on our cell and we are still waiting. Yesterday a further call and in the end the solution of take your decoders to a DSTV centre in order for it to be reset. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOR THIS EXCELENT SERVICE THAT IS COSTING R1000 PER MONTH.
