On the 31st of Dec 2024 I've lodged a formal complaint in writing because I wasnt satisfied by the level of service I've been receiving from multichoice.
At home I have an extraview with two decoders linked to each other.
The problem I've been having GOD knows for how long is clearing the e48-32 error specifically on the secondary decoder (even though I did experience the same error once or twice on the primary decoder), in 2024 alone I contacted your call centre as well as dstv approved installers to come and clear the error multiple times (more than 5 times). They do come and clear the error, but it only last for a month or two and come back again and this error is costing me a lot of money because these installers are charging different fees for call outs.
On the other hand multichoice is debiting my account R667.00 monthly for this broken service.
The service is broken because my family and I are struggling to enjoy the service we're paying for every month which is really not fair to us.
On my last call out to clear the error which was sometime in Sept/Oct I asked the installer to change the cables that goes to the secondary decoder, and obviously I've paid more for that service to be granted, but two months later the error came again.
Imagine, it was festive season and all the kids were at home, but there was no dstv connection at home. I'm really tired of trying to fix unfixable error.
This is a ENQUIRY REFERENCE NUMBER : *** that was given to me on the 31st of Dec 2024 until to date I haven't received any feedback from em.
On the 7th of Jan 2025 I wrote to em requesting for the feedback for the above ref and their response was to ask for the contact details of the last installer that came to my house and the new ENQUIRY REFERENCE NUMBER : *** was issued.
On the 22nd of January 2025 I contacted the installer to come and clear the e48 error again and Immediately I contacted multichoice to downgrade my account from dstv compact to dstv access and I was told to pay R296.77.
Believe it or not, my dstv was only connected for a day or two and it was switched off on Saturday the 25th Jan 2025.
I contacted the call centre, spoke to different agents who would listen to my query and put me on hold for mode than 15 mins until the call drops and what is more annoying is their lack of decency on returning dropped calls.
The last agent that I spoke to on Saturday 25th Jan 2025 was Nkululeko, that is based KZN, who reports to Nokwanda. This agent (Nkululeko) promised me a call back from his team leader, until now I haven't received any.
Now they're telling me I am owing them R491.00, mind you one of the agents I spoke to told me about the system error that took place on 3rd of Jan 2025, apparently their system reconnected me on that day around 4:00AM and I asked why..?? And they couldn't answer.
