Won't cancel contract
I took out a 24 month Xplora contract with Multichoice, but decided to cancel it within 7 days. I was surprised to receive and sms saying that my decoder was on its way. I called the call centre and told the lady that I wanted to cancel the contract for the second time. She said the first time it was not cancelled because Multichoice called to confirm the cancellation and I did not pick up the phone. Why the need to confirm cancellation when I took the time to phone and cancel? I asked her to cancel it again. When I got home my neighbor said that Multichoice had delivered the package to her house. Still not cancelled. Please come pick up you decoder and cancel the contract as per my request. Sales cannot be that bad! I have two references for the cancellations and I am sure the calls were recorded. I have since reversed the debit order and stopped any future payments. This has really left a bad taste in my mouth. I have considered signing with Netflix before but decided against it because of the high data cost. This will make me seriously reconsider and I will cancel my compact subscription with Multichoice. Multichoice does know about the NCR and cancellation of contracts??
