When does a disconnection fee apply

I pay my dstv via eft on a monthly basis. .I paid my account 1 day before they disconnected my service ... I called them to ask why they are charging me a reconnection because my payment was done before they disconnected. .the consultant was absolutely rude and said that I was charged a reconnection fee cos I paid after the due date...she even cut the call while I was trying to explain to her that a reconnection fee should apply if I paid after my services were disconnected. It's not about the fee ...it's the principal that matter's. ..and as a service agent if you have an unhappy customer then you should call a supervisor. ..?not cut the call.
