What's the use of a debit order?
Multichoice / DSTV is quick to disconnect their service when their accounts department fails to collect payments by pre-arranged debit order. I have had a debit order with Multichoice for at least 3 years and suddenly in the last 4 weeks have been disconnect 4 times due to failure in submitting the debit order for collection. On each occassion when attempting to resolve the problem telephonically, I am assured that the problem has been corrected on their side. This not only now costs a R50.00 reconnection fee but also substantially telephone charges, the last call being 28 minutes without any solution.
The matter was finally resolved by making an EFT payment of the account which resulted in theservice being reinstated.
