WARNING: CARRY THE SMS YOU RECEIVE

I deem it necessary to share this with fellow consumers. I did not believe that in their drive to amass debit orders Multichoice will resort to frustrate paying customers!. I visited Multichoice office in Umhlanga on Thursday 4 january 2018. Being warned I did not take out my cell phone. I gave my account details and I was told that I need to pay double the amount reflected on the SMS I received. I told the staff member at the counter that this was incorrect. After an apology I was tendered another amount. This time slightly over the amount on the SMS that I received. I advised that this was also incorrect. Now that Supervisor had to be consulted and my time was being wasted. I then expressed that I was being held up from my other business. The Supervisor told me that they were correcting the mistake on the SMS> I was threatened that I will be penalised and that I will have to pay the difference from the amount they arrived at and the amount reflected on the SMS that I received. I then told the Supervisor that he should take this matter up with the office that sends out the SMS amounts and not threaten and embarrass the customer. I share this in an effort to prevent other consumers from being bul**** and threatened. I shudder to think what may happen should I allow this company a debit authority and the resultant appeals for refunds. I pay annually and I feel comfortable. I do not want to believe that this is the practice at Multichoice. But should this be the case then they will be annoying innumerable customers. I must confess that I was annoyed at being treated like a ***** and an imbecile for no fault of mine. Multichoice should be BIG enough to ensure customer satisfaction.
