We have had a Walka for many years now. Although we’ve regularly had problems with error messages, we use it often. On Sunday we called to report an error message and were told it would be sent through to another department and it would be reconnected within 24 to 48 hours. Then today we called this morning and were told it would be reconnected within 3 hours. Tonight we called yet again and now we were told it won’t be reconnected and it’s been phased out??? How can you not notify your customers and why don’t all your agents know this? This is unacceptable, we would like the Walka to be reconnected or else there are no benefits of having Dstv, we will cancel our premium contract. After all, this is not what we expect for R900 a month.

We are aware of the technical problem on our DStv mobile devices. Our technical team is working to resolve this problem as soon as possible. Signal is being sent to devices on an hourly basis to clear this error.
When MultiChoice launched its mobile TV service in 2010, the technology was fresh and new. Over the last few years, technologies and standards have evolved as broadband access continues to grow. This has resulted in the supply of our mobile TV devices becoming limited.
Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us send an email to *** .
