Utterly rude Dstv telemarketers
This afternoon(Friday 23rd @ 16h53) I received a phone call from On Air, a company acting on behalf of Dstv, via a private number. The person whose name I didn't get and had an Indian accent, tried to sell me a Dstv Explora3 for 139pm for 24months as an upgrade to my current decoder. After listening to his sales pitch I informed the gentleman that I do not wish to take the deal as I was busy cutting my financial costs. The salesman then tried to force me into taking the deal, saying that my decoder will stop working soon and that I will lose out if I dont take the offer. Further he stated that he is not a ****** trying to con me, implying that thats what I was thinking. After this the salesman became aggressive and wouldn't stop talking when I tried to explain to him. He then demanded me to admit that I cant afford a lousy 139 rand per month extra, to which I responded with my reason was that I was cutting costs. He became adamant that I was lying and that I am broke and that 139rand is too rich for me. Furthermore he said he couldn't believe that I was so cheap. When he found out that he is getting nowhere he dropped the phone in my ear. I cannot believe that Dstv is trusting such an unprofessional company to do business on behalf of them. My financial status and how I want to spend my money is my personal business and I dont appreciate people insulting me while trying to take money from me. After today's phone call I have a distaste for Dstv and wont be renewing my subscription again. I would rather spend my money on buying cheaper products like OpenView
