Updated recordings overwriting existing recordings

Good day,

To whom it may concern.

May I please request that an update be pushed out onto decoders that existing recordings are not overwritten by updates to the TV guides?

Tonight, as a result of a longer than expected F1 race, obviously everything was pushed on longer than expected, and myself, obviously taking this into account, also set the programme following "The Notebook"on channel 215. This programme recorded for a full 15 minutes, after which it automatically stopped after the TV guide was updated, and obviously, as "The Notebook"was not done as yet by then, now I have in anyway missed most of it as a result, and will now have to wait until the race is basically old news, in order to view it.

It is all well to update your TV guides, but I believe as a human I am well enough equipped to be able to pre-empt my recordings, in order for the decoder's AI not to overwrite my judgements. There are many inconsistencies with the setting of recordings that I can point out, such as the decoder not allowing for duplicates, or setting programmes to clash even though there are other viewings available.

Please sort it out, as I am utilising a significant portion of my hard earned money to pay for a rather expensive Premium service along with the additional R100 per month for the PVR function. With that R100 per month extra for merely being able to record, I would not expect to have any issues with merely having my recordings available when I require them, or recordings overwriting each other automatically.

Please resolve this issue as a matter of urgency.
