Unwillingness to accept their own document in a transaction

I want to transfer ownership of a decoder from my account to that of my father, who is old and lives over 200km away. I downloaded the changed of ownership form from the MultiChoice/DSTV web site, filled it in and, with great effort, got my dad's signature on it. I then took the document to the service centre in Centurion, where they refused to help me, because the form is "old". They insist that I must fill in a new form, with exactly the same information but a different layout, and get it signed by my dad again before they will assist me. My dad is old and not into technology, there is no such thing as scanning and emailing when it comes to him. There is not a single difference between the information on the two forms, just the layout. And I found it on THEIR web site. They would not even let me fill in the new form and attach the old one to it as proof of his consent for the transaction. It is absolutely absurd.

I took the effort to find out what your procedure is, locate the form on YOUR website, get it signed by someone who lives more than 200km from me and took it PERSONALLY to your service centre. But your agent refused to assist me. Simply because the LAYOUT of YOUR form on YOUR web site differs from the one the agent wanted. THE CONTENT OF BOTH VERSIONS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. So please explain the security issue with me following YOUR process using YOUR document that can cause YOUR agent to refuse to service me?
