Unresolved billing issue with DSTV

Last month I did forget to pay my subscription on time and when I got cut off, I paid using self service and access to my DSTV compact was restored. This month, I paid my subscription timeously, however, my services were cut off today. Upon checking my account, I was shocked to see a balance of R890 outstanding. I immediately contacted the call center and spoke to an agent who later forwarded my query to the so-called supervisor, Simakhelo Vika. I asked her to explain what was going on and she advised that the balance was that much because apparently I activated the other decoder. I then told her I don't even use decoders anymore since years back and my intention was to pay for my compact service. I asked her if she could remove the balance and restore my services as I never used it. She said this is not possible and as the call progressed, she just kept quiet and never said anything on the phone. She was very rigid and unwilling to look into my case based on its merits. I even asked them to check the logs and see if I even used the other decoder, but she was unwilling to. I further asked her if DSTV does not work on an advance payment system. You don't access services prior to payment and why they activated the decoder the entire month without asking for payments from me. That would have at least alerted me and I would have deactivated at that point. She simply ignored my questions and promised that a manager will call me in 30 minutes. Well, that never happened. I then called again after 30 minutes had passed and spoke to Andisiwe (refused to give surname) and went through the same torture. Agents are lazy to be flexible and genuinely empathize and assist a client that has used the services for more than 20 years. They are unwilling to activate my account or refund the amount I paid this month. Well, I guess you will have to deal with my legal people and bye DSTV, Netflix here I come. This is the worst service I have ever had and I am done.
