Unprofessional, Rude and *********

Before my debit order rejected in March did an eft for my DSTV subscription knowing that the debit was going to reject. In April i noticed that my debit order that went off was for R100 which i thought was too low and called the Call Centre to query, i was told that my account is in credit because i paid via eft for March as well as i debit order. I insisted with the agent that the debit order rejected and he still insisted and said that it did not. My debit order for May went off as planned and then today i switch my tv on and find that i have been suspended due to non payment. I called the Call Centre again and spoke to a very confused Khumbulani (who is supposedly the manager) i explained my story to him and he said that the bank only informed them on the 2nd of June that my debit order for March had rejected. This makes no sense to me as why would it take a bank 2 whole months to confirm a rejected debit order. Unhelpful Khumbulani insisted that this situation is my fault and not fault of Multichoice because if i knew the debit order rejected in March i should have paid anyways in April. Even after i repeatedly told him that the Call Centre agent i spoke to insisted that i should not pay and that he would investigate as to why i am in a credit and would revert yet he never did. Khumbulani made no attempt to help me or to apologise to the mistake that Multichoice clearly made, instead he insisted that it was my fault. I asked him to double debit me at the end of this month and he said no and said he will only switch me back on when i make full payment. Well Done Multichoice on your stupidness and unprofessional mannerism. I would have expected to atleast recieved an sms notifying me that due to your mistake my account is actually in arrears and i need to make payment. Furthermore i'm sure i will be expected to pay the reconnection fee even though it was not my fault that i was disconnected.

Dear Mrs Sullaphen

Thank you for bring this matter to our attention.

The information provided by the consultant at that time was correct as the payment for March was only returned from the bank in June 2016.

We confirm payment received and the billing on your account adjusted accordingly.

Regards

Rupert
