Unhappy Springbo supporter
I have placed a hellopeter about a week ago with the unfair treatment of if you want to watch Rugby you must have premium, look now again this weekend the Springboks were playing, I thought at least the match will be shown on SABC or the highlights on compact plus, but nothing. They rather show overseas soccer which have got nothing to do with South Africa. This is not fare. When there is world cup rugby they say one Nation one Team or Stronger Together but we cannot see the games, you have to pay more, this is not fare at all.

05 Oct 2020, 19:04Dear Gert,
DStv evaluates its bouquet offerings annually in terms of content and channel packaging and makes adjustments whenever necessary. This is done in relation to cost of content and the pricing of the bouquet.
As per telecom, DStv bouquets are tiered according to their pricing. Multichoice is mindful of your complaint; however, sports rights are expensive to acquire. This is why the Premium bouquet is the costliest while the lower-tier bouquets are less so because they carry proportionately less sport.
This is a business model that takes commercial realities and adapts them to the market. Unfortunately, there is no other way to balance the needs of customers with prevailing market realities.
The truth is that in order to get the widest possible selection, a person does require the DStv Premium Bouquet.
We hope you understand, however notwithstanding your concerns, these will be shared with management.
