Unfair treatment

Good day DSTV,

I am writing to you to express my disappointment in your services.

On the 5th of January, I called in to request for service activation because I didn’t realise that my services are inactive since I was moving places.

The agent that assisted, Sholene, advised two things. She said I can either: 1. pay in the pro-rata (which was about two hundred and something) for the services to be reactivated; or 2. Add to bill since I’m a debit order customer

I settled for the second option. She assured me that the services will keep running until the next debit order date, i.e. 20th and an amount of seven hundred and something will be deducted on that day. I confirmed that I am comfortable with that arrangement.

To my surprise, the services got disconnected a week later. I called in and explained that there was an arrangement done on the 5th. I got reconnected.

The same thing happened today and when I called in, I spoke to Nathalie who acknowledged that it is the service provider’s fault that I am disconnected but there is nothing that can be done.

I would like to plea with you to please reconnect my services because I am inconvenienced because of the inconsistent advice that your employees provided. Had she not suggested the second option, I would’ve paid that R200. I only settled for that because I could do with extra cash until next pay day.

I really feel that that I haven’t been serviced fairly, there’s no honest and consistent communication from your side as DSTV/Multichoice.
