Unauthorised transaction

I received an sms on the 29th of August stating that R5660 will be deducted on the 1st of September as my subscription is up for renewal. This came as a surprise to me seeing as I switched from annual to monthly debit orders at the end of March this year and have been paying R879.00 every month since then. I phoned the call center to enquire about this (what I assumed was just a mistaken sums sent to the wrong number) and was told that I was somehow still listed as an annual customer, but that the system shows that the same amount of R879.00 will be debited on the 1st.

To my utmost disgust R5660 was debited from my account today leaving me without enough funds to cover my other debit orders. This is not the first time this has happened to me, in 2015 my yearly subscription was debited twice (a total of almost R18 000!) within one week and it took over two weeks to get my money back.

This is clearly unacceptable and I am yet again the one left in an embarrassing financial predicament as a result of multichoice's incompetence!
