Unallocated funds...Box Office

On 27 April 2018, I topped-up my BoxOffice account via the web portal with an amount of R140 [using my credit card]. The amount was debited from my bank account but did not reflect on my BoxOffice account. After waiting for several minutes and the amount not reflecting...I resolved to repeat the operation thinking it might be an error on my part. I again topped-up my BoxOffice account with an amount of R140 [also using my credit card]. Once again the amount was debited from my account but did not reflect on my BoxOffice account. The total amount thus debited from my bank account was R280.

2 days later...and realising the funds were still not reflecting in my account [despite my account being debited] I called the call centre and after several more calls I was advised to send an email to the following address: ********** [which I did with the accompanying proofs of payment]. To date...after numerous calls and emails to multichoice, and even going as far as sourcing the proof of payment from PayU and forwarding said proof to multichoice...my problem still remains unresolved. I am aggrieved that it has been 6 weeks and multichoice has literally ****** me off R280. After all my effort to resolve the issue I simply find myself frustrated and taken for granted by multichoice!!!

My concern at this stage is that the initial R280 still does not reflect on my BoxOffice account even though my account has been debited. I have attached extracts from my bank account as proof of transactions. My request is for this matter to be resolved with utmost urgency.

Good day Segomotso

I apologise for the delayed response in this regard.

According to our records, both payments are pending allocation from the finance team. I have also followed up with the team for a quick response.

You will be updated as soon as the communication is received.

Thank you for taking the time and bring this matter to our attention.

Kind regards

Dinah

Dear Dinah, Yesterday I received the following email: "Thank you for contacting us , we apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced due to the delay in payment reflecting . We have allocated the payment in to your box office account ." The problem of course, is that there is NO such allocation that reflects on my account. This needless to say in causing me much consternation and is increasingly frustrating.

After what I will assume is your "intervention", R140 has been allocated to my BoxOffice account. There is still another R140 that is yet to be allocated. I am getting no joy from the call centre or the other platforms that DSTV claims to have made available for customers to air their grievances.

Good day Segomotso

Thank you for your continuous interaction with us.

The two PayU payments have been allocated to your BoxOffice account on 07 and 13 June 2018. Currently, the BoxOffice account reflects a credit balance of R270.00.

You can log on the website www.dstv.com for online self-service to check.

Kind regards

Dinah
