TV channels really kills it with too many Adverts!
WOW! This is super annoying! I cannot believe how many adverts are on DSTV every few minutes. Sometimes every 5 - 7 minutes an ad break comes up with the same f&*^% adverts over and over again!<br> <br> You have literally just started following the story line when the program is interrupted for ad breaks lasting longer than the program content you just watched!!! <br> It's ridiculous!!! It's not what I want to see, when paying ridiculous amounts for DSTV subs.<br> <br> It is too much and in your face and you cannot help but to think about switching off DSTV completely and reverting to reading or watching something on the internet!<br> For crying out loud, I hear them say already: \yes but we have to run ads to pay for programs and content\". I GET IT! I &%^* I get it! <br> <br> But THIS MUCH??? That's BS! Seriously? <br> Note to self: Switch off DSTV!<br> "

Another reason, generally channels schedule in half hour or hour slots so adverts and promos are used to round off slots. For example, a 30 min comedy usually only consists of 22 min of content, so that 8 minutes need to be filled.
