To many adverts
Every day when you watch TV between 6 and 10 pm there are so many adverts it is really getting out of hand there are more adverts than TV shows .

Kindly note, having adverts is a way for the channel to receive and income which is to be used to purchase or commission more content.
Apart from that, channels generally schedule their programmes in half hour or hour slots so adverts and promos are used to round off slots. For example, a 30 min comedy usually only consists of 22 min of content, so the remaining 8 minutes is then filled with commercials.
