Threats to turn off service if I do not buy an Explorer / then lack of response from call centre and management

I have been called by ONAIR as the official sales partner to DSTV. Their sales pitch (which I clearly confirmed as being true with Filisiwe) is that DSTV is changing satellites and when that happens I will not longer be able to receive DSTV unless I purchase an Explorer. So buy one now...

So I call DSTV and end up at the call center: Nomjabulo answers, is unable to answer this claim, and says that at some point they will "switch off" the receiver. But could not tell me when, or which ones. When I asked about the new satellite she was unable to give me exact details or dates or even if this was true. She asked a supervisor who could not assist. She tried to fob me off by saying I need to follow up ONAIR, with whom I have no contract. I then"forced" her to put me through to the supervisor, Velaphi who also can't anwer. I asked to put put through to a Director or manager but he is unable to do so.

The usual problem with call centers and inability to address any serious concerns. Also the same bad attitude of management that they are un-approachable.

This is forced buying and totally *********. It is also useless customer service - why are managers so hard to talk to - or are they trying to hide.

Unacceptable.
