They made a mistake and my service gets threatened

Yesterday I received an email starting with: Please note that the payment you made for your DStv account via the PayU facility, did not go through. There was an error on their side which incorrectly showed transactions as successful when they were not. I must pay R270 before end of today. This transaction was done on 04/01, it showed on my side that it failed. I made an immediate EFT. When my debit order did not go through on 01/02 I phoned them on 02/02. The agent informed me that my acc was in credit. I asked him 2x if he is sure, cause this made no sense. He then said that my Boxoffice acc was R270 short and that he can transfer that amount from the credit balance. I said it is fine he can do that. He made me hold while he did it. After the email of yesterday I explained this to DSTV just to get the following reply back:Our records does not indicate that that a transfer of R270.00 was done from your Res. to your BoxOffice accountt The services get disconnected automatically by the system when it picks up that the DStv account is in arrears. Therefore to avoid disconnection pay the amount due for February of R859.07. I was not at fault here! I never missed a payment!! Seriously???<br>

Hello Deidre Fichardt,

Thank you for your Hello Peter query.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused in this regard.

As advised, an amount of R270.00 is not reflecting in your account. Please send us your proof of payment to *** for payment allocation.

Currently, your DStv account has an outstanding balance due to the payments that were reversed. Please ensure that your account is manually paid to settle the balance owed.

We are aware that you're not at fault hence we had to send the communication regarding the PayU payments.

Thank you for your invaluable support.
