THEY DONT HAVE A CLUE!

Very very unhappy with service received from Multichoice. In December I moved to another province and put my furniture in storage. I ask Multichoice to disconnect my service until I have a place of my own. The consultant ASSURED me that there is no reconnection fee because I asked for the service to be disconnected. Begin Feb I asked for the service to be reconnected. The guy told me to pay R125, which I did. But, during the month of Feb, up to now, I had to phone SIX TIMES because my PVR function wasn't working. The first 2 times they just reconnect it. The 3rd time I heard it was disconnected because I did not pay R72 for the PVR function. Once again I went and pay the R72. But viola, PVR off again. I phoned 7h00 this morning and was told by Lerato \someone\" switched off the PVR, but it will work in an hour's time - NOT! Tonight I had to phone again, just to be informed that my account is R66 in arrears - reconnection fee. WHY?? WHY?? WHY?? The first 5 consultants said nothing about a reconnection fee? I am paying EVERY MONTH for more than 20 years, and get treated like this?"

Hello EmmieC,

We could not get hold of you today and discuss your query telephonically. Please accept our sincere apology for the delayed response and the inconvenience caused.

We would like to inform you that you were not charged the reconnection fee. An amount of R66.00 was the pro rata balance for the PVR functionality from 01 to 25 February 2016.

We also received your payment on 28 February 2016. This payment covers your viewing period from 28 February to 27 March 2016 including the PVR functionality. Currently your DStv account is paid up and reflects a credit balance.
