The worst service received

In short, I have been trying since 8 December to do a change of ownership of an old decoder of mine to give to my mother in law whos decoder had died. After jumping through hoops via email since 8 December I finally end up with a shouting match, yesterday 12 December, with the helpdesk because they told me that they are not able to do this via the phone and I should go to a service center. (what nonsense in this day and age that you are unable to do this on your system) Drove from Malmesbury to the Paarl Multichoice agent this morning 13 December. This is where the bad becomes worse. The DSTV agent behind the counter bluntly refused to even read my mail with reference # ********** . Another shouting match started where I told her that I am not leaving before she just acknowledges my email and phoned the helpdesk to get more information. The agent in the next cubical had to step in to stop my ranting and was decent enough to look at my email and phone DSTV to get clarification on the issue. Basically, the helpdesk was *********** and had to tell me that my decoder is too old and can not be transferred to a new owner. (you must rather buy a new one) The was the worst service I have ever received after wasting all my time and sanity trying to just give someone else my decoder. (surely this can't be this difficult to give someone your decoder - but it makes financial sense to DSTV) I am sorry I did not ask the agent in Paarl her name as I would like to name her in person. I can not believe someone working with clients, has bluntly refused to help me, or even read my email with my reference number. Even if the helpdesk was *********** to tell me that I am on a lost cause, surely when you get to the agent, they must be s****ed in public relations and could handle this very different than just bluntly ignoring my numerous requests to just read my email. Thanks to the agent that at least tried to help me, if I started with you, there might have been less of a bad taste in the mouth.

Thanks for replying, but you basically said nothing - this reply means absolutely zero to me. If you are honestly trying to improve your customer service or stop it from happening again, you will take action - this simply is just not good enough - don't bother replying with a general statement to me.
