The WORST of DStv/MultiChoice
I previously had DStv Price Lock. When it expired I was never contacted by DStv as per their own protocols that require that they (DStv) contact me to find out what I wanted to do, going forward. Instead, I had to call the Call Centre SEVERAL TIMES to inform them to delete and stop taking Debit Orders from my Bank Account as I want to now pay DStv by EFT (which is my Right). Please note that, the Debit Order was previously in place as per the Terms and Conditions for Price Lock, but I do NOT have Price Lock anymore! So, I have a right to pay by EFT as long as I pay in advance, right?! However, MultiChoice continues to attempt to pass Debit Orders to my Bank Account AFTER I have already paid them by EFT. Worse still, they now suspend my Services for days when I have already paid them, in advance, yet when I call the Call Centre they, The Call Centre Agents inform me THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY ACCOUNT, "according to the system." They can't answer why I keep getting suspended! To make matters worse, DStv Call Centre Agents and Managers, claim not to know what is the complaints escalation process within the organisation. I have PROOF of this and everything else I am stating here, I possess PROOF! So, I pay DStv IN ADVANCE, yet DStv attempts to force through Debit Orders and they also suspend my Services that I have ALREADY paid for, like I say IN ADVANCE! What cheek? I have gone through DStv's standard complaints processing requirements. I have jumped through all the hoops, yet NOTHING happens. No resolution. I have sent emails to *** and *** to NO AVAIL. Worst of all, I have attempted to get the MultiChoice Chief Executive involved for him to see and realise that the normal methods they have put in place to complain are also NOT assisting. I have attempted to alert the Chief Executive that the reputation of DStv/MultiChoice is being put at stake. However, the Chief Executive is himself ALSO is NOT INTERESTED. I have contacted and sent emails to the Chief Executive's PA using *** to NO AVAIL. In fact, the PA is so bad at her job, she doesn't know that emails need to be acknowledged. This is a BASIC requirement but the PA of the Chief Executive of a Company as large as DStv/MultiChoice does NOT know to do this? How come? It's only when you call her telephonically that she tells you she received the email, yet she doesn't respond nor acknowledged receipt, why? She never has and I feel she NEVER will until she is taught how. Follow-up emails to all three emails addresses at hand are NOW being ignored. If I was at fault, do you think DStv/MultiChoice would IGNORE my emails? No, they definitely wouldn't. So, what gives them the audacity to ignore me when it has already been acknowledged that DStv/MultiChoice is at fault? Besides, the Chief Executive's PA (Ms. BROWN), I was told telephonically by Ndivhuwo (***) and Molly (***) that what's happening to me SHOULDN'T be happening, at all. So, there is acknowledgement of WRONG DOING on the part of DStv/MultiChoice. However, despite this, there are no resolutions offered and the cases have NOT been concluded in months! The malaise at DStv/MultiChoice runs deep. The public ought to know that the Board and the Chief Executive of DStv/MultiChoice have ABDICATED their duties and responsibilities. It is their decided duty and responsibilities as Directors to know that they are the people in charge of the Company. If whatever systems they have put in place aren't working, they, as Directors, OUGHT to intervene and provide direction, guidance and resolutions. Instead, they abandon us, their PAYING Customers! What cheek! Right now, I CANNOT access the DStv I paid for. What should I do? In the meantime, besides writing this review/complaint, I am taking up the matter with the National Consumer Commission. I am also consulting Lawyers with regard to seeing whether we can take the Class Action route because only when DStv/MultiChoice Executives realise these matters will hurt the Company's Finances and by extension, the Directors' own pockets, will they wake up, smell the coffee and take remedial action. There are several issues outstanding but I decided to concentrate on this one because it is the MOST PRESSING. I contacted Naspers to complain but they informed me they are GLAD they no longer own DStv/MultiChoice
