The System Strikes!

After paying by debit order for four years, The System decided one day that I did not subscribe via debit order and I received an SMS reminding me to pay by the 20th. So I phoned the Call Centre and asked "what's up" and was told to ignore that as my debit order was in fact active. On the 21st of the month, my service was disconnected due to non payment. So I phoned again. The short of it all is that every time I was told they would put the debit order through again and each time nothing happened. Finally I told them to cancel my debit order and I would pay via EFT. It was a nightmare with no one taking any responsibility for The System. For the next three months, the nightmare continued but eventually it settled down with me paying via EFT. From time to time The System messed up again and I came to the conclusion that "He" hates me!

My latest battle with The System at today's date. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I downgraded my package and asked how much I needed to pay for PVR functions and was given an amount which I paid and all was restored. I woke up this morning to discover that PVR was disconnected and after asking on FB what was the reason, I was informed that it had been a "system glitch and I needed to pay an extra amount. On principal, I have refused to pay this as I feel that The System has too much power and takes the blame for everything wrong that happens.
Of course, the staff are always polite and helpful and apologise for the inconvenience until the next time The System messes up.
I have had more than enough of inconvenience caused by The System and have decided to join the "opposition".
