Thank you Multichoice for putting me in the terrible position

Sometime in January 2017, I got a phone call from Multichoice's debt collectors (Blake Collectors) telling me about the this outstanding amount of +-R9000. They informed me that my account has not been paid in 9 months. My debit order was signed last year, and I was convinced that it had gone off my bank account. It really took me by surprise and I could not understand why Multichoice had never phoned me in the 9 month it has been arrears. I was so embarrassed by the phone call from the debt collector, because I always honour my accounts.
After that it has been back and forth about the payment.
After the first phone call from the debt collector, I phoned Mulitichoice to confirm what the debt collector had told me. I explained my situation and the operator put in a request for an adjustment.
Thereafter, a debt collector phoned me again, suggesting instalments of R2300 x 3 as final settlement. I was so shocked and in a state, as I was worrying how I will be able to pay this for 3 months. The debt collector said I had to make a direct EFT and in my shock I forgot to ask for the banking details and reference to use. Then I followed up with Multichoice because I was scared that just paying into Multichoice's bank account would make it even more messy, especially because it was a price lock deal. Luckily I had done this, because I was informed that it cannot be paid by EFT, a debit order instruction will need to be created. Another problem that I had with this whole affair is that nothing was put in writing and with all the ***** and *******ion going on in this world, I was scared that it was one big ****.

Eventually I managed to get somehting in writing, a settlement quote of +-R12,000????? How does it go from R6900 to R12,000?

Yesterday I got another phone call from Blake collectors saying that it is +-R9000 that I owe. I committed to paying at least R2600 this month but asked for a adjustment, as I cannot afford to pay R2600 for another few months. I also requested that they send me the correspondance in writing (on e-mail) as well as the bank details. However, I just received an SMS with bank details that I cannot confirm anywhere on the web and still no correspondance.

I'm furious about the unprofessional way this matter is dealt with by Multichoice as well as their debt collectors. It is an incredibly embarrassing and difficult situation.

Good day
A week has past and I still don't have a solution to my problem.
Instead I am still receiving phone call from Blake and Assoc. asking me to make another payment, whilst I made a payment of R2600 last week. I certainly don't have that kind of money, and have told them before.
I feel that DSTV/Multichoice can share the pain, and write off at least 50% of the amount that they ***********ly did not recover by debit order, as per my initial instruction, and not following up in 9 months.
I am urgently awaiting feedback.
