Tale of the refurbished refurbished Exploras

So, I was contacted by Multichoice back in April to take up the Explora promotion they were running. I decided to give it a try even though I had no issues with my decoders as I am on extra view. I received my decoder and all was good with the world. 4 months later, the device packs up with a hard drive issue. I take it in and im informed that to get a new decoder I would have to wait over a month but they can issue me with a refurbished unit right away. I take the decoder and im on my way. A month later, this refurbished unit shuts down, shows ER on the display and a red exclamation mark. Again I take this still to Multichoice Durban CBD. I am yet again issued with a refurbished device and assured that it was initially purchased a month later than my original one. Which makes you wonder why so many of these things are returned. Well guess what, today the thing starts making this tractor like sound so I contact multichoice before it breaks down on me. I inform them that this time I need a new device as I refuse to accept another serviced unit. Apparently this cannot be done as their systems do not allow them to issue new devices to returning client unless you choose to buy a new one, seems like that is the plan anyway. I need a new device and will not rest until this is issued as I refuse to keep coming to you guys for a refurbished unit every 2 or 3 months. I see why people are jumping ship to Netflix and I find myself asking why am i still paying your "premium" package when you cant even service me properly.
