Our PVR started rebooting once a day last year September. We could live with it. Last year December it started rebooting every hour after 5. We took it to the agent in Kempton Square. They told me it was fixed cause they ran new software. Only to get home and it is still rebooting once a day. With time it gotten worse again we took it back to the agent 2 weeks ago. Instead of helping us he just insists we need to buy an explora. It is now so bad it is continuously rebooting that we can’t watch more than 5 minutes of TV. The only thing we get told is to get an installer out. Why? It was installed correctly.... What went wrong that the installation needs to be checked suddenly? I am paying a huge amount to watch premium DSTV. We have a 3 way extra view. I am really disappointed in all your staff.

Thank you for sending your query.
You may need to purchase an Explora decoder. This is because we no longer have the SD PVR decoders in the market and can no longer be repaired.
I strongly recommend that you visit our website on www.dstv.com to compare the different offers available for the Explora.
Initially, when SD PVR was first released we only had a handful of channels on DStv – there are now over 100. The SD PVR has now reached the stage where it won’t be able to cope much longer with the growing number of services. For this reason, the decoder will experience missing channels, an incomplete TV guide or even freeze-ups and error messages.
Furthermore, we’ve launched a new satellite at the beginning of 2017, which positioned our channels on low and high band frequencies. Unfortunately, your decoder can only get low band frequencies. This means that our customers will be inconvenienced and lose out on any channels or services made available on high band.
Feel free to contact us if you require any further assistance.
Thank you for your invaluable support.
Kind regards
Dinah
