<p>SuperSport deceives unsuspecting viewers with ‘Live’ logo</p> <p> </p> <p>Why does SuperSport continue to display the “Live” logo when in fact it is delayed ? Surely there is a financial benefit to Supersport to purchase delayed broadcasts versus live.</p> <p> </p> <p>The transmission of the Shell Houston Open started at 19:00 on SuperSport 5 and displayed it as “Live” but it was in fact about 2 hours delayed. It seems that SuperSport is trying to save on purchasing delayed broadcasts and continues to display it as ‘Live’. This is not the first time I am complaining about this issue.</p> <p> </p> <p>There are millions of subscribers that pay a premium to watch live broadcasts. However, Supersport continues to deceive its unsuspecting viewers into believing they’re watching live broadcasts whilst they are actually watching a delayed transmission.</p> <p> </p> <p>With Live Internet, it is easy to determine whether or not a broadcast is ‘Live’ or not.</p> <p> </p> <p>Please compare attached time and scorecard on SuperSport screenshot versus Internet Live Update.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is the problem with monopolies, there is no choice. It is 2017, surely it is time for multi-choice.</p>
