Still the worst back up service imaginable
Multichoice recently changed a lot of their channels around. My HDPVR had no problem but my expensive Explorer listed the sports channels all over the place and not in order. After having spoke to two agents who insisted that I hard boot my decoder, the more I explained that load shedding has taken care of that they weren't interested. They couldn't help assist any further. At the third try a helpful lady called me back and had me check all the settings and we reset the decoder to the original default settings. This sorted out the programmes in the correct numerical order. However, the next day, my decoder wouldn't tune into the sport, news and weather channels when the Ok button is pushed. I called the help desk (Mafulatsha) who refused to call me back as he was supposedly in the call centre that couldn't call out, even though I could clearly hear his family in the background. He was most unhelpful and kept repeating ad nauseum that the signal strength was fine therefore the hard drive was faulty, even though I never had this problem before. I repeatedly asked for us to re-check all the settings which he refused to do. I drove all the way to the Randburg offices , arriving at 1701 and the gates were closed. What do I do now? My time spent on the phone to 4 different agents has cost me an inordinate amount of my time AND airtime. I find this state of affairs totally unacceptable.
