STILL OUTSTANDING ACCOUNT ON A PRE-PAID SERVICE

We moved end of June to a new town. With all the hassle of moving I didn't have a chance to phone dstv to disconnect my services and by chance someone phoned me 3/4 of July to arrange a debit order and insurance. I told the person I spoke to that we moved and won't install the dstv this month if they would please disconnect my service. A few days went by (thinking the services was disconnected) when I received a sms stating that I owe R790. I went on to the self service web page to see if the account was disconnected and it was. Now I keep on getting phone calls and sms's stating that I owe DSTV money. As far as I am aware this is a prepaid service, if you don't pay, they disconnect your services. When I spoke to a consultant this morning they said the account was active until the 14th of July and there is no record of someone phoning me. If this is a prepaid service how did they keep the account active until the 14th? Nobody I spoke to is willing to help me with this account, they just keep on telling I must pay this, because it is policy for the account holder to phone in to disconnect although someone for dstv phoned me and I asked them to disconnect my services. This is my second review of this same problem and to date no one from DSTV has contacted / helped me to resolve this. The lady I spoke to this morning told me that even if someone phoned me and I asked them to disconnect my service that they wouldn't have been able to disconnect it before the next payment date, you must give 30days notice. If this is as they put it a pre-paid service how in the world is that possible????? They expect me to pay this account up until the 14th of July even if I did not use their services!!!!! THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!! ???

DSTV did not resolve this matter with my previous complaint, why should I believe it this time around?

If this person told me that she only works with debit orders then that wouldn't have been a problem to contact dstv, I asked this person to disconnect my service, she said not a problem, she did not log it on your system and now I am liable for this account. This is highly *********!!! After I spoke to this lady and requested her to disconnect my services she should have told me, sorry I do not work with this, please phone the contact centre, which she did not!!! I assumed that the service was disconnected. Why in the world would you let a pre-paid service run for 14days after the payment was not received???? Now I must pay for a error on you workers behalve!!!!! That is not fair. On previous occasions you would disconnect the services without hesitation, so how did it go on until the 14th???
