Stay away from pricelock deals

I was contacted by multichoice in February to sign up for a price lock deal, i accepted the offer and also decided to upgrade my package from compact to premium.

I further advised the lady that i have 3 decoders and she said that for all 3 of them on a premium package i would be paying an amount of R949 for the duration of 24 months.

I reiterated to her that if i was to pay more than that R949 i wouldn't be comfortable with it, and i also told her that my main decoder (which they replaced with the latest hd decoder) would now be serving as my 3rd decoder and she reassured me that i will only pay that amount.

In March i received an sms saying my debit order will be R1159 i called and asked them why the amount was so high they informed me about pro rata fee they charged me i accepted and paid it, now i see the debit order is going to be R1059 and it's not what i signed up for.

I tried contacting multichoice and the staff there are unable to assist me, dstv multichoice is a **** stay away from these price lock deals
