Sms system just a ploy!!!
I normally phone dstv call centre to get my balance but have been advised numerous times by the agent to rather SMS for my balance so I tried it 2 days ago.i got a reply within minutes that my balance is R647.7 due on or before 06th november, this morning i was disonnected so I smsed again for a balance and this time my balance is R748.00, of which R325 is due immediately and the rest due on 06th. My first question is why the difference on due dates? If I had known that R325 was due yesterday I would have made payment and avoided the reconnection fee. The SMS clearly stated that the amount is due on the 06th of November. Then my 2nd question is why the difference in amounts +/-R80. Reconnection is R50???? I have tried email dstv and Facebook with no joy. These big companies don't seem to care about their customers and probably feel they shouldn't bother themselves about R80 (unless off course you short pay that amount) I am disgusted by your ineptness to resolve my query and think this is a ploy you employ to make money off us.I smsed to the same number twice.why 2 different replies? If there is an explanation I am all ears...
