Sick of being taken
<p>I have had an pvr dual view decoder since 2005 and had insurance since then. Decoder packed up again. No problem right. Take it back repair or get another you got insurance. WRONG!!!!!! I was told they do not repair or re issue the dual decoder. But here . here is a new explora 2. No i explained. There is an explora and dual so i got 3 individual channels. On no mam you will have the same with this explora 2. You get one go plug it in and you will still have all of this. WRONG!!!! Something that was ment to cost me nothing is now costing me close to R2000. And its not the end you must still go and buy this and that the other and guess what i still got only two individual tv and got to now go buy more **** to have the third tv going. So why did i pay insurance why was i not told the truth and why am i still having to pay up for more stuff. Somehow what the miltichoice people tell me and what the accredited installer tells us is like 2 different things. Why??????? No more. I will not stand for this any more. Not even to mention the phone calls costing a flippen fortune. Where is customer service. </p>

We sorry to hear that you were not told about the costs involved when installing the DStv explora.
The Explora isn’t Dual View decoder. The technology for a dual view HD PVR is not yet available at a cost which would make this product commercially viable, in this case XtraView takes care of the second viewing environment.
The performance of the DStv Explora is directly related to the quality of the installation. The installation of the DStv Explora requires an 80cm satellite dish together with a DStv Smart LNB at your cost. (including use of approved equipment and correct alignment of the satellite dish).
If the DStv Explora is installed with any other type of LNB, the installation may require changes to receive future services. Hence we recommend that all PVR installations must be done by our accredited installers.
Further the decoder care contract only covers the decoder for :
Mechanical or electrical fault
Loss or damage caused by theft or attempted theft
Damage caused by fire, lightning or explosion.

O my goodness. This is just what i mean. I did not buy the explora it was replaced by your company as my dual view was insured by you. So since it is that you are insured to keep what you got or be in the same as you were. I am neither. I am in minus why were i insured when this is costing me more money than i intended on spending just to be in the same position that i was. Is that why i pay insurance for to make you richer and still paying. On all the extras. No that is not what you pay insurance for. And we did use an accredited installer. So i dont know where your reply is coming from. I did not got to miltichoice and said i want another explora i went to have my dual view ovr fixed. And since you could not or would not i must pay and pay and pay. All i wanted was my dual view pvr fixed. The one that i bought for 3000 rand 11 years ago. When you did not tell me this is going to become absolute. If i take a cell ohone from 15 years ago and install a sim card in it it will work. I will not be told sorry its to old
