Showmax LNK 1020 error

Been trying since Sunday 11th August for someone at DSTV or Showmax to to assist us with a LNK1020 error. Despite numerous calls and "help chat" but today 16th August we are no further forward. From online searches it seems to be a very common complant and problems. So why is nothing being done to help their DSTV cluents receive what they are charging them for via their premium package? Is there anyone who has successfully resolved this problem?
