Shocking service and *********** personal.

On 28 June I phoned DSTV to inform them that I am leaving the country. I asked what the amount was that needed to be paid as I was on a paymnet plan. I asked for the account to be settled in full. I was told that the amount was R623. I was then asked when it must be terminated. I said that it had to be terminated on 31 July 2017. He then said that I neede to phone again on 27 or 28 July to find out waht the amount will be then because it changes from month to month. The name of the person that told me this was Thabang Mosakoa Ref: ********** 0-1116

I phoned again on 28 July 2017 and spoke to Jaqueline Mashabane Ref: ********** 0-1124. I asked her the same thin. I need the settlement amount for my Dstv because I am leaving the country.

She gave me the amount of R474-42. I asked is this the settlement amount she said yes. She then gave me the Banking Details.

Today I went to Aerial Exellence in Pretoria to do a change of ownership so that my sister could now use the decoder.

There I spent 3 and a half hours because the system kept on saying I owe them money. The guys working at Aerial Exellence were very helpful and kept on telling the DSTV people but the message on system says termination of service amount was R474-47.

Itumeleng Leew was not helpful either.

After all that time nothing was resolved. I now get a call telling me that i owe them R5394. Ho w do they get from R474-47 to that amount.

I will not be paying this as I already spoke to my legal department.

I insist on both those recordings and will take it further from there. Three of my family member already decided to stop their DSTV subscriptions because of this. Poor poor poor. Showmax here we come.

Seeing that DSTV is a prepaid service according to you terms and conditions on your website, how can I pay for a service that I will not receive as I am leaving the country?

The person that is receiving the decoder from me as a gift, to be used, will have to take out a subscription. Therefore if I understand this correctly DSTV wants to be paid twice for a service of one decoder. Daylight roberry!!!!!

A profesional company would have advised the following: transfer the 6 months remaining of my 24 month subscripsion to the new user. Nobody loses any money.
