Shocking lack of assistance - atrocious and greedy corporate beast with no ethics, brain nor customer focus!

I received an SMS from DSTV on the 8th of July informing me that my account is overdue by an amount of R951.34 and that my credit profile will be updated with the respective credit bureaus if I don't pay...

I immediately raised the matter with DSTV on the next working day (both telephonically and in writing) seeing that I'm on a decoder payment plan with a (contractually agreed to) fixed monthly fee of R799 - box office being the only aspect that could potentially increase that figure and we've used to box office service on approxiamtely 2x occasions during the past 12 months or so.

After 23 days, more than 11 emails and in excess of 8x calls no one could even explain to me as to why Multichoice claims that my account is overdue by the said amount, given that I always have more than sufficient funds in my account for the monthly debit orders.

Neither Thozamile nor Thandusa even bothered to respond on my follow up emails (sent nearly a week apart) whilst I even forwarded the correspondence trail to their enquiries department on Friday in yet another desperate attemtpt to have someone resolve this matter, in essence (me as the client) begging them to perform their basic duty!

I furthemore also requested them to not make ANY undue deductions from my account besides the contractually agreed upon amount until they've resolved this mess but surprise surprise , Multichoice nonetheless deducted an amount of R1621.34 during the weekend!

Multichoice, how can you threaten me with the credit bureaus when you can't even explain to me my why I allegedly owe you more than the contractually agreed upon rate, only to thereafter make a unlilateral decision and take deduct additional monies from my account without any permission to do so (especially so after ignoring my constant follow ups during the 23 days leading up to this!!).

Your so called values of customer focus, integrity and performance is clearly a smoke and mirrors exercise - I've dealt with numerous of your employees in trying to resolve this matter and NOT ONE displayed your "values".

I really hope that you can bring an end to what can at the very least only be described as an absolute nightmare (enquiry reference ********** )

Reviewer Update

I was contacted shortly after posting this review (and informing DSTV in writing that I will be posting about this experience on Hellopeter).

The lady that phoned me subsequently unfortunately didn't revert back to me whilst the ********** team is seemingly unable to route the correspondence to her whilst they're apparently also unable escalate the matter to a senior manager.

Lastly, Investec informed me this morning that Multichoice updated my ITC credit bureau status to reflect as non-payment / overdue insofar as this R822 is concerned, this is despite initially not being able to answer my questions as to what the amount is for after I followed up with 11x emails and 7x phone calls.

Lastly just to add insult to injury, my personal banking team confirmed that there's always been enough money in my account whilst they have not processed any reversal whatsoever - despite this the agent wanted all my bankstatements from February until Aug, what relevance does this have?

Come on Multichoice, please just for once actually pretend to care and assist me in finalising this matter
