SD PVR replacement

My SD PVR is apparently faulty and according to Multichoice my only option is to trade it in for an Explora which is going to cost me in excess of R2000 including installation. I understand I get a rebate for my SD PVR, but that should be my choice if I want to trade it in and spend R2000. So currently my only option is to trade it in and spend the money or cancel my subscription. They have other HD PVR in circulation but say they cannot give me that one
