I was checking MyDstv App to link my smartcard so I can watch LiveTV. I saw my balance and it was over R800. I am on compact plan and I have option of PVR record and my insurance which works out to about R545 per month. I know that there is and increase from April which is R30. I phoned in and spoke to Dimpo Timle @ 4.20 pm on Saturday 12 March. She explained that I had Showmax linked to my account as well as I was upgraded to Compact Plus. None of which I agreed to. She put me on hold to speak to her manager. Came back and told me that the Showmax was cancelled and that the system upgraded me to Compact Plus on 2 March. She will downgrade me to compact. My new bill is R710. I asked her why I must pay extra this month if the system upgraded me and I did not agree to this. Where is my POPIA rights? She said she will escalate it and someone will get back to me the same day. It is Monday the 14th now and I still have not heard a word. I am so sick of DSTV and I think it time I must cancel my subscription. Oh and she also told me the system calculated my outstanding amounts until July already. DSTV fix your systems. I am not paying extra for your mistakes!!!!!
