RIPP-OFF DSVT AND SHYSTER

RIPP-OFF DSVT AND SHYSTER

Having downgraded my DSTV to Easyview (R29-00 offering) around end November/early December 2023 due to affordability, I was beyond shocked to be debited R364-00 on 2 February. I tried to get in touch to get an explanation and my gosh… was the process excruciating!!! From the so-called WhatsApp Service to the calls - dealing with agents. One reference number confirming cancellation for DSTV service is ***-i296. The other ridiculous *** is from an agent named Vela from their insurance service side re the cancellation of ALL the insurance profile under my name: FMB PILANE, mobile: ***. PLEASE CAN DSTV CONFIRM ALL CANCELLATION OF EVERYTHING THEY HAVE UNDER MY PROFILE. I’m not interested in being retained, I want confirmation of cancellation as I no longer wish to be subjected to their exploitation!!!

I’m honestly not sure if at the root of my issues with DSTV Insurance I’m dealing with pure incompetence and/or obfuscation… But whatever is going on... smells and screams “********* BUSINESS PRACTICES”. On the same day, which is today 06 February 2024 at 14h51– literally a couple of seconds apart; my husband is emailed “DSTV confirmation of insurance on policy no: ***1” – a 12-pager email attachment, which is shortly followed by another (maybe 2/5 seconds apart) “DSTV cancellation of insurance on policy no: ***4” – one-pager, without reference to description nor premium amount(s). As indicated, these documents are sent and reflect my husband’s email address and telephone number but addressed to me. How odd is that? What’s even more perplexing and strange, is that this happens after numerous calls with DSTV confirming my details and the fact that I’m the primary account holder. Please can DSTV Insurance stop wasting my valuable time, and confirm ALL Cancellation of the so-called policies.
