Request Pensioner Rebate for 86 year old Customer

An appeal on behalf of for my Dad (Mr M. Morar) who is now 86 years old living with my Mum on their own, currently in poor health, unable to walk unassisted and has full-time care givers at home but enjoys the sports coverage on DSTV.<br> <br> With mounting medical bills and the cost of employing full-time care givers on a shift basis on his teachers state pension barely makes ends meet.<br> <br> Being a loyal subscriber to MultiChoice for 27 years (since 1988) could you please consider extending the pensioners rebate to him.<br> <br> I hope this request will receive your favourable consideration and will be approved.<br> <br> Response<br> Dear Mayur Bhoolia <br> CASE NUMBER: ***<br> Thank you for your email.<br> We apologise for the delayed response.<br> While we can't offer a pensioner discount, we do offer a reduced rate to registered retirement villages to accommodate senior citizens. There one factor that keeps us from offering discounts to pensioners who live in freestanding houses is the portability of the DStv decoder. It means we can't manage where the decoder is being used and if its used by the pensioner. We've looked exhaustively into viable solutions that would work for both MultiChoice and our retired customer
